Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver complex payments-related projects within the Financial Services industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project delivery, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership, with deep knowledge of payment systems environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of payments-related projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budgets.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Manage cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, testers, and external vendors.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
- Ensure compliance with financial services regulations and internal governance standards.
- Engage and manage stakeholders across business units, technology, operations, and external partners.
- Provide regular project updates to senior leadership and governance forums.
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery methodologies and practices.
- Ensure successful transition of projects into operational support and business-as-usual environments.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in payments-related projects.
- Proven experience in Financial Services, ideally within banking, fintech, or payment processing environments.
- Strong understanding of payment systems (e.g., SWIFT, ISO 20022, EFT, RTGS, card schemes, mobile payments).
- Experience with regulatory compliance and risk management in financial services.
- Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, or equivalent) – mandatory.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Trello).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
